Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what information Build Our Site ("we," "us") collects when you use buildoursite.com, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what you give us so we can respond to your inquiry and discuss your project, and we don't sell it to anyone.
What we collect
- Information you give us - when you submit our contact form, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email, your website address if you give one, the goals you tick, and anything you write in the message field.
- How you reached the form - with your request we also receive which page of our site you sent it from, the page you were on before it, the first page of your visit, the outside site that linked you here, any campaign tag in that link, the plan button you clicked, and the starting point the form showed you. We use this to learn which pages are useful.
- Basic usage data - like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and site performance.
How we use it
- To review your inquiry and prepare a proposal for requested services.
- To contact you about your project and our services by phone, text, or email. When you give us a phone number or an email address, in the contact form, in a call with the phone agent, or when you book a call, you are asking us to get back to you, and you agree that we may call, text, or email you there about your request.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our website and services.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your information with third parties except service providers we use to operate our business (such as hosting and form processing), who are only permitted to use it to provide those services to us.
- We do not send bulk marketing to your phone number without your consent.
Data retention
We keep contact submissions for as long as needed to serve you and for reasonable business records. If you'd like your information deleted, email us and we'll take care of it.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site - for example which pages are viewed and how people arrive here. This is done with cookies set by Google, and it collects things like your approximate location, device type, browser, and the pages you visit. We use it to improve the site. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not sell this data.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on any website by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Our hosting and form provider may also set strictly functional cookies needed to operate the site. The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google.
The phone agent demo
The demo call on this site runs in one of two ways, and the note under the call says which. As a scripted demo it runs in your browser: we do not receive, record, or store what you say or type in it. When a live AI agent is answering, what you say or type is sent to our server and passed to the AI service that writes the replies (Anthropic), and the replies are sent to the voice service that speaks them (ElevenLabs). Those services handle it under their own terms. On our own line the live agent can book a call with our team or pass your details to us. If you ask it to do either, the name, contact details and request you give are sent to us, and a booking is made through Cal.com as described below. Otherwise we do not store the conversation and we do not use it to contact you. To keep the demo from being misused we count the live agent's messages per visitor for a day, using a scrambled form of your network address, not the address itself. Either way, if you choose to talk, your speech is turned into text, either by your browser (some browsers use their maker's speech service to do that) or by our voice service from a short recording. We do not keep the recording. The demo keeps a note in your browser of when you used it. Our analytics record that a demo call took place, not what was said.
If you ask us to ring your phone with the demo, we keep a record of that call for 90 days and then delete it. The record holds your number, your name and an email address if you gave them, the choices you made about future texts and calls (the wording you agreed to, and when), what was said on the call, and a short summary written by our AI service. It also holds when the call took place and how it ended, the time of a meeting if you booked one, the voice and the demo line the call used, your time zone, and a scrambled form of your network address. For seven days we also keep a technical log of the requests that made up the call, with none of what was said in it.
When the call ends, a note of it also reaches our team as a contact submission, so someone can follow up on what you asked about. The note gives your number, your name, an email address if you gave one, the summary, the choices you made, and the basic facts of the call: when it took place, the voice and demo line, how it ended, and the time of a meeting if you booked one. That note is not deleted with the record. We keep it like any other contact submission (see Data retention above), and we delete it if you ask.
The call comes from an AI voice and is recorded. It is placed and carried by a phone and voice service (Retell AI, or Twilio), which handles the call, its recording and its transcript under its own terms and keeps them for up to 90 days. Texts and calls about our services happen only if you ticked those boxes; reply STOP to any text, or tell us, and they stop.
We make no more than three demo calls a day to a number. If the person who answers says they did not ask for the call, we do not call that number again. To make sure of that, we keep a do-not-call list with no end date. The list holds a scrambled code made from the number, not the number itself.
Booking a call
The "Book a call" links open our calendar on Cal.com, a scheduling service. What you enter there (such as your name, email, and the time you choose) is handled by Cal.com to make the booking and is shared with us so we can meet you.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email hello@buildoursite.com or call (786) 786-7577.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
