It takes a message and sends you the call summary, so you can call back. Which calls it handles on its own and which it passes to you are set out in your proposal.

Can it answer texts and website chat too?

On the Pro plan, the AI front desk covers your phone, your texts, and your website chat. As a custom build, it covers whatever your proposal sets out.

Does it tell callers they're talking to AI?

Yes. It introduces itself as an AI assistant, as in the example on this page.
